*Pro Tip: If you plan to switch puppy’s food, plan now to have a supply of Paw Tree Chicken & Oatmeal puppy food on hand.  Transitioning to a different puppy food must be done gradually or will cause gastric upset.

20x30" Crate with Divider Panel

We highly recommend crate training. I prefer a crate of 20x30” as I like to give the puppies room to play and interact. A crate that comes with a divider is an excellent way to allow you to reduce the size of the crate if necessary, yet allow enough room to roam and play.

Bitter Apple Spray for Chewers

When it comes to your puppy chewing on furniture, shoes, etc., I recommend Bitter Apple Spray. It is safe for you puppy as well as all types of furniture. This will help to prevent your puppy from unwanted chewing on household items without harm to them nor your furniture.

If you see them chewing something they shouldn’t, just gently take it away say no and give them a toy instead.

Puppy Shampoo

I have found that Espree and Burts Bees Puppy Shampoo work the best. They are safe and healthy for any age puppy and help reduce matting.

Double Sided Brush

I highly recommend a good double-sided brush to ensure all tangles and matted hair are taken care of. I also suggest they be brushed daily to ensure a bright and healthy coat

Personalized Dog Collar

Here you will find a link to personalized dog collars, however, you can find many variations of these on Amazon or your local pet store for your personal preferences.

*We highly recommend using a harness when you take your dog on walks to avoid any choking or neck damage. We do, however, recommend getting a collar with your puppy's information (name, phone number and address). You can find these on Amazon (linked) under personalized dog collars. I recommend the reflective. I do not recommend leashing the collar as it should be used for information purposes only.

Pee Pee Pads

Pee Pee Pads are a must. They are great not only for training, but for accidents as well. I use the Sam’s Club brand as they are inexpensive ($15.99 for 100 pads) and they have a scent that will draw your puppy to the pad. If you don't have a Sam's in your area, there are some from Amazon for the same price linked below.

Kong Chew Toy

Nylabones

Hard rubber toys such as Nylabone® and Kong®-type products come in many shapes and sizes and are fun for chewing and carrying around. Kong®-type toys, especially when filled with broken-up treats, can keep a puppy or dog busy for hours. (If your veterinarian says your dog can eat peanut butter, add some to the crushed-up treats for a tastier —and busier— treat!)
